Automated Monthly Newsletter & Transactional Emails
We use Sinch Mailgun as our email service provider to send out our monthly newsletter and essential transactional emails (e.g., confirmations or notifications). To facilitate this, we securely transmit only the recipient’s email address and a system-generated universally unique identifier (UUID) to Mailgun. No other personal data is shared. Sinch Mailgun acts as a data processor on our behalf, and their services are governed by their own privacy policy and terms of service (see links above).

The Open Research Calendar collects event data from users who submit events. This data is stored securely and is publicly available on the Open Research Calendar website. The data includes:

As part of the Open Research Calendar merchandise program, we collect the following information:

This information is used to send merchandise to users who have requested it. The data is stored securely using Google Services and deleted after the merchandise has been posted.
